WOW!! These students went above and beyond in their news reports! Each group was video taped broadcasting the weather and performing interviews in the Spanish language. Their videos were AMAZING!! They equipped them with sound effects, graphics, music, and much more! And even better yet...they had a BLAST doing them!! Soon I will have highlights of them on the website to view!
We are now beginning a new unit and family in which we learn/review family vocabulary and house vocabulary. Soon these students will be giving 2-3 minute presentations about their family entirely in the Spanish language and will also be "building" their dream home, of course labeled in Spanish! All the while, they are continuing to reinforce previously learned material and learning more and more verbs every day!! I encourage you to ask your son or daughter to speak Spanish to you. They students are well beyond the basics of Spanish! By now they can tell you what they are doing throughout the day, what they like and don't like, about their classes, and their weekend plans, where things are located, how they are feeling, and soooo much more!!
