Look What We Are Doing!!

Fourth Quarter

These Spanish IV students worked very hard to make a movie for other Spanish classes to view!  They chose to do a movie in which they illustrated the grammar concept of "commanding someone" to do things or to not do things.  Their timing was perfect as my Spanish II classes are working with this skill right now and were able to view the video as added reinforcement!!  These girls reinforced their own grammatical understanding, followed a deadline, and learned a TON about technology as part of the process of putting the movie together...complete with graphics and sound effects!  It will soon be available on the website!!

We have returned to our text books to learn additional ways in which we use the subjunctive mood in Spanish and have also learned more advanced vocabulary on how to express personal emotions such as regret, sorrow, guilt, and requesting forgiveness.  Students are writing fictitious apology letters to apply these skills and will soon be taking to the stage to try their role as actors in telenovelas (soap operas)!
