Staff Sergeant Adam Quackenbush entered the U.S. Army October, 2001.

Basic Training: Fort Benning GA

Advanced Individual Training: Computer Technician – Fort Jackson SC

April 2002-August 2002: Staff Sergeant-Sergeant First Class Promotion Board, Indianapolis IN

August 2002 – August 2004: Assigned to 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade – Venceza, Italy

March 2003-March 2004 – While assigned to 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade, they were part of an assault on North Iraq. Landed in Bashur, then proceeded south to Kirkuk and was located at the Kirkuk Air Base.

Deployed: 173 Airborne Infantry Brigade – to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.

March 2003-March 2004 – While assigned to 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade, they were part of an assault on North Iraq. Landed in Bashur, then proceeded south to Kirkuk and was located at the Kirkuk Air Base.

September, 2004 – Present: Assigned to 187 OD BN at Fort Jackson SC.

Awards: Army Accommodation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Sharpshooter Badge; Driver’s Badge; Physical Fitness Badge for Excellence.

Adam is a graduate of Tri County High School with the Class of 1996.
