Landed in Bashur, then proceeded south to Kirkuk and was located at the Kirkuk Air Base. Deployed: 173 Airborne Infantry Brigade to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. March 2003-March 2004 While assigned to 173rd Airborne Infantry Brigade, they were part of an assault on North Iraq. Landed in Bashur, then proceeded south to Kirkuk and was located at the Kirkuk Air Base. September, 2004 Present: Assigned to 187 OD BN at Fort Jackson SC. Awards: Army Accommodation Medal; Army Achievement Medal; Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal; Sharpshooter Badge; Drivers Badge; Physical Fitness Badge for Excellence.
