 DESIRAE CRINER Pvt. Desirae Criner joined the Army in her junior year of high school through the delayed entry program. Her admiration of soldiers and the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001 compelled her to join the Army to help protect her country. After graduating from high school, she entered boot camp at Fort Jackson, SC in June 2004. She graduated from boot camp in August 2004. She then went to Fort Eustis VA for AIT (Advanced Individual Training.) She is currently learning to be a Blackhawk helicopter mechanic. Desirae is carrying a 98 percent average in her classes and is currently the fastest woman in the obstacle course. Graduation is planned for December 17, 2004. |
