John Nickel
John Nickel, graduated
from Tri County in 1991. In April of 1994 he joined the United
States Air Force. He completed basic training and tech school at
Lackland Air Force base, San Antonio. He became a vehicle operator.
His first duty station was at Ellsworth AFB, SD. He was stationed
there for 10 years. He is now stationed unaccompanied at Osan AB,
Korea until Aug 05. He will then have a follow on back to Ellsworth
AFB, SD.
John is currently SSGT Nickel. His current job title is Fleet
manager and is in charge of several millions of dollars of military
vehicles and government leasing of vehicles. He enjoys his job and
plans on making the Air Force his career.
John has served over seas in the UAE, Bosnia, Germany, Hungry, Oman,
and taken part in Operation Enduring Freedom.
John is an elite member of the Ellsworth AFB Honor guard. He has
made many accomplishments in his career. Some of which include SRA
below the zone (early earning of senior airman rank) Airman of the
quarter, NCO of the year, outstanding professional of the year are
among several of his accomplishments.
John is the son of Butch and Pam Nickel, brother to Justin and
Joelle Nickel. He is married and has 3 children.
