JAMES SCHEELE

SKC (SW) James Scheele left in May, 1990 for Boot Camp at Great Lakes Naval Center in Illinois.

James served aboard the U.S.S. Niagara Falls (AFS-3) from:

1991-1994  Guam Naval Center  Operation Desert Shield/Storm in Persian Gulf  Operation Enduring Freedom (Somalia)

1994-1997  Naval Support Activity in Gaeta, Italy

1997-2000  Naval Communications/Telecommunications Detachment – Brunswick, Maine

2000-2002  U.S.S. Cole (DDG-67) in Norfolk, VA (James was aboard this ship when it was bombed.)

2002-2004  U.S.S. Sacramento (AEO-1) in Bremerton, WA (This ship was retired – September 30, 2004) James’ father, Daryl, was present with James at the decommissioning of this ship.

2004 – James attended school for 5 weeks and is stationed in Fallon, Nevada at the Aviation Intermediate Maintenance Unit.

2005 - James was promoted to SKC/E7.

James has a wife and has 3 children.
