JOHN DAVID ULRICK

Sergeant John Ulrick joined the Nebraska Army National Guard shortly after graduating from high school. He took his basic training at Fort Jackson, SC. John first entered as a cook. He was later trained in infantry. John spent six months in Kuwait at the time the Trade Center was destroyed, September, 2001.

During the time John was in the Army National Guard, he took two years of ministerial training. In 2003, John transferred to the U.S. Army and he was promptly sent to Kuwait to await the drive into Iraq. Just two days before the push in Iraq started, John was interviewed on CNN.

John is currently serving with the 1-41st Infantry in Iraq. This makes his third tour of duty in the desert.

John graduated from Tri County High School with the Class of 1998. He married a girl from Kearney, NE.
