 MATTHEW CAL BEETHE Lance Corporal Matt Beethe graduated from high school in May, 2003. After joining the U.S. Marines, he left for Boot Camp at MCRD San Diego, CA. He graduated from Boot Camp as a Private on October 31, 2003. He returned home for ten days leave plus an additional 15 days for recruiter’s assistance in Lincoln. Combat Training: Matt returned to San Diego in November for Combat Training at Camp Pendelton, CA. When he completed combat training, he had ten days leave before he flew to Pensacola FL to go through physical testing for Aviation Crash, Fire, and Rescue Training. He left Pensacola January 18 for his Aviation Crash, Fire, and Rescue Training at Goodfellow Airforce Base in San Angelo TX. Matt graduated from this training, May 7, 2004 as a Pfc. He then returned to San Diego CA to Miramar Marine Base, which is where he will be stationed the next four years. Deployed: Matt was deployed to Iraq to Camp Taqaddum on August 27, 2004. On October 1, 2004, he was promoted to Lance Corporal. Just recently (October 20, 2004), he was transferred to Camp Fallujah where he is serving his tour of duty in Aviation Crash, Fire, and Rescue. Matt graduated from Tri County High School with the Class of 2003. |
