 SHAWN HOFSTETTER Specialist EO4 Shawn Hofstetter enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserve in February, 2002. His incentive to join was to help serve our country and to help with college education funding. Shawn’s unit was originally with Dep 2, 1012th quartermaster Company, Wymore, NE. Currently he is with 172nd Transportation Company, Omaha, NE. Combat Training: Shawn took his Basic Combat Training at Fort Benning, GA graduating from there August 15, 2002. Military Occupational Specialty Training: Motor Transportation Operator at Fort Leonard Wood MO, graduating September 26, 2003. Deployed: December 23, 3003 December 27, 2003 – Joined up with the Omaha Unit January 19, 2004 – Left for Fort Riley, KS for additional military training March 2, 2004 – Deployment to Camp Navistar, Kuwait where he is currently. From Camp Navistar, Kuwait, the trucks are loaded with supplies (such as ammunition, water, food, mail, etc.) and driven into Iraq to be delivered to other military troops. Some of the most frequent stops consist of Baghdad, Fallujah, Najaf, Kerbalah, Mosul, BIAP, Al-Asad, Kuwait City. Arifjon, Doha, Navistar, Udari, Striker, Spiker, Samari, and others.
