I remained in the Nebraska Army National Guard until May 2002. I was then transferred to the 74th Legal Support Organization in Orlando Florida. I was recently was promoted to the rank of Captain in the U.S. Army Reserve, Judge Advocate General Corps. As an attorney for the Army Reserve, we generally draft wills and power of attorney for soldiers and their families and provide legal assistance on matters such as landlord/tenant law, domestic relations, and criminal law. On the civilian side, I am an attorney for Wicker, Smith, O’Hara, McCoy, Graham & Ford, P.A. in Orlando. My wife, Jackie, is employed by United Healthcare in Orlando, and serves as a Lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Nurse Corps. I am a 1989 Graduate from Tri County High School, as well as a 1997 graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law. I recently served 8 months on active duty at Fort Stewart, Georgia, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom/Iraqi Freedom. I joined the military mainly out of a sense of patriotism, and to follow in the footsteps of my Dad who was a Korean War Army veteran. I was also influenced by my Uncles who both served in World War II, as well as my cousins. I always have fond memories of attending the Veterans Day ceremonies in Plymouth, with my family, which served as a great inspiration for me. |
