THOMAS J. SCHUERMAN

First Lieutenant Tom Schuerman went to college at UNL and Doane College graduating from Doane, Lincoln Campus in 1999 and is a 1999 graduate of the U.S. Army Officer Candidate School.

Military Service: He has served with the U.S. Army for fourteen and one-half years Active Duty/Reserve Time. He is an enlisted and commissioned officer in the service. His active duty time is eight years and 5 months.

Key Assignments: Cavalry Platoon Leader, Infantry Company Executive Officer, Cavalry Assistant S-2 Officer, Battalion S2/3 Officer.

Deployed: Kuwait, Bosnia, Korea, Germany, Alaska (4 years overseas service.) Stateside: Georgia, South Carolina, Kansas, Kentucky, Nebraska, Maryland and most recently, West Virginia.

Operations Served In: Operation Southern Watch, Operation Joint Forge, Operation Enduring Freedom (twice)

Currently: He is presently a 1LT on Active Duty with the U.S. Army and Army Reserve as the Battalion S2/3 Officer with the 332 OD BN (Operations/Training and Intelligence)

Tom is a graduate of Tri County High School with the Class of 1990.  He has a special friend, ------------, 4th grade teacher in Barboursville, WV.
