COLLEGE EXPLORATION

The college research process should begin during the sophomore or junior year so that you are ready to begin the application process by the start of your senior year.  The most important factor to consider when deciding where you want to apply is finding colleges that are a good match for YOU.  There are many different criteria you can consider in choosing a college (size, location, diversity, special programs, student climate, etc.)

It is not too early to begin making college visits.  Please go through the guidance office, and I will be more than happy to schedule appointments for you.  Complete the College Visit form and return it to the guidance office.  Students are encouraged to use the days when Tri County is not in session for their college visits, but we realize this isn't always possible.  College visits are much more beneficial and effective when made by student AND parent(s).  This is an investment in time and money, research it wisely.  When the visit is made by a student and parent, the college views it as a more serious consideration.
