Tri County Art Department strives to develop creative thinkers.
Tri County Art Education Departments goal is to teach students to be thinkers, not just memorizers, in today's testing driven schools there is often only one right answer to problems posed to students. In the real world and in the creative process of making Art there are often multiple answers to problems that students encounter. The Art Departments goal is to create an environment that teaches creativity and innovation and that the search for answers takes experimentation and allows and even encourages mistakes in the creative process from which a student must apply the lessons learned through the process of creating of their work.
The ability to think and apply knowledge creatively are essential skills in a world in which collective knowledge of the world's greatest minds are as close as the smartphone in the students hand.
