UNL Math Day 2017
Thursday Nov. 16th was another successful Math Day at the University of Nebraska. 17 Tri County students joined more than 1600 other students from around the state for a day of math. The day started with the Probe I test in which students spend an hour taking a difficult test of 25 questions.
When the Probe I test was done, the students had about 45 minutes to shop, visit the Union Starbuck's or just sit and relax for a bit. Then the Math Bowl rounds began. Tri County's team consisting of Riley Knust, Cooper Smith and Bailey Waltke, started with a win, then followed that with a loss. The best part of the day was next, LUNCH. We trekked across campus to Abel-Sandoz dining hall to enjoy a great buffet.
After lunch, our first round was another win, so we were off to a good start, but we lost our 4th round, so we were done for the day.
The weather was beautiful for our day and I hope the students had a good time. I know I enjoyed being out and about with them.
