TRI COUNTY FFA MEMBERS ATTEND NAYI
NEBRASKA AGRICULTURAL YOUTH INSTITUTE
Tri County FFA Officers Taylor Cammack, Savannah Gerlach and Evan Larson along with past Nebraska FFA Officer Cheyenne Gerlach will join more than 200 Nebraska High School juniors and seniors to serve as delegates at the 47th annual NAYI. The conference will be held July 9-13 at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s East Campus.
NAYI is a unique experience for students interested in agriculture to learn about leadership, personal growth and and ag-related career opportunities. It is sponsored in part by the Nebr. Department of Agriculture. During the five day Institute, delegates participate in agriculture policy and group discussions as well as career development activities. Motivational speakers and a farm management program help students strengthen their pride in Nebr. agriculture. Delegates will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders, top-notch speakers and ag representatives. NAYI is lead by 21 college-age men and women from across the state who comprise the Youth Council.
The local leaders were selected to attend through a written application process. Delegates can attend free of charge through donations of agriculture commodity boards and agriculture businesses.
