In the month of November, students in grades PK-5th grade discussed the meaning of the word gratitude during their classroom counseling and did projects and activities surrounding this topic. Several classrooms made gratitude turkeys to help show what they appreciate and are thankful for. Other classrooms worked on gratitude quilts where they showed through their artwork what they are grateful for. Some classrooms wrote gratitude letters to students, staff, and family expressing appreciation for something they have done for them and delivered them to the individuals they wanted to thank. All of these activities help teach our students the importance of expressing gratitude to others and that it can even make ourselves healthier and happier people. We will continue to work on kindness activities for the month of December. The sixth grade has been working on college and career readiness activities and will continue these into December.
