TRI COUNTY FFA OFFICERS ATTEND STATE CONFERENCE

Eight Tri County FFA Officers attended the fifth session of the Nebraska State FFA Chapter Officer Leadership Training (COLT) on May 23, 24 & 25th.  The statewide training was hosted by the Nebraska Dept. of Education and the Nebraska State FFA Officers including Tri County FFA’s Savannah Gerlach.  There was 163 FFA members at the fifth session.

Attending were Alexx Malchow, President; Hannah Holtmeier, Vice-President; Nicole Vodraska, Secretary; Landen Chapman, Treasurer; Cassidy Kowalski, Reporter; Jacob Kapke, Sentinel; Cole Siems, Parliamentarian; and Lucas Weise, Historian.  Advisor Dave Barnard accompanied the group. The training was conducted at the Nebraska Leadership Center at Aurora, NE.

The COLT theme was, “Get Your Game On!”.  The leadership sessions centered on team building, goal setting and developing a local Chapter Program of Activities. The Tri County officers finished second in their opening ceremonies pool play competition.   In the state book competitions Madison Freese’s Treasurer's Book was awarded a Gold, Tiffany Pearson’s Secretary’s Book earned a Gold award, Creighton Niemeyer’s Reporter Scrapbook earned a Silver rating and the Chapter’s social media was awarded a Gold and second place in the session.  Madison and Tiffany’s books were the top in their divisions.
