TRI COUNTY FFA HOSTS LEADERSHIP NIGHT

The Tri County FFA Chapter hosted their fall Leadership Night on November 24th at the Tri County Auditorium.  President Hannah Holtmeier conducted the meeting for members, parents and guests.  Fall contest medals and ribbons were handed out for  Land Judging, Ag Quiz Bowl, Natural Resources and Dairy Evaluation.

 

The highlight of the night was the Degree Ceremonies.  Earning their Discovery Degrees were seventh graders Sydney Brauer, Isabelle Peters and Kennadee Van Winkle.  Discovery Degree requirements include participating in Chapter activities, pay dues and be familiar with the Chapter Program of Activities. 

 

Twenty-three members were accepted into the FFA as Greenhands.  The Greenhand Degree was bestowed upon  Evelyn Baker, Caden Bales, Colton Bales, Zach Bergmeier, Kinsley Fletcher, Caitlin Franzen, August Geralch, Tayden Gronemeyer, Dustin Kapke, Jackson Kirchoff, Kaden Koch, Lucas lewandowski, Ellinor Peters, Colton Placek, Evan Quackenbush, Mason Schmidt, Jonah Schab, Aubriana Sluka, Braiden Strouf, Cassidy Thavanet, Kaden Van Winkle, Samuel Wagner and John Wehrman.   The degree requirements include active participation in Chapter events, knowledge of parliamentary procedure, basic FFA knowledge and plans for a Supervised Agriculture Experience (S.A.E.) Program.  The group received a bronze pin and their “FFA Member Lives Here” sign.


Eight Tri County members were awarded the Chapter Degree by the officers.  These recipients demonstrated parliamentary procedure abilities, had an established S.A.E., performed at least ten community service hours, and presented a group discussion presentation.  Receiving their silver pins were Carter Siems, Carter Holtmeier, Taylor Koch, Breona Meyer, Taryn Van Eperen, Kendra Caudill, Trevor Johnson and Karli Scherling.
