Dr. Welte has served districts of all sizes in both Missouri and her home state of Nebraska for over 28 years and is honored to be serving students, staff, and families of the Tri County Public Schools communities. A graduate of Papillion-La Vista Public Schools, she attended college at the University of Nebraska at Kearney and the University of Nebraska at Omaha for her undergraduate (1992) and graduate degrees (1999 & 2010), respectively. Prior to her role as superintendent for Tri County, she has served as a middle and high school English and journalism teacher, yearbook and club sponsor, assistant high school principal, district curriculum director, and secondary school principal. In addition to leading curriculum, instruction and continuous improvement processes in her various roles, she has had the privilege to serve on statewide efforts to improve career and technical education opportunities, and assessment and accreditation practices. Her personal philosophy of life and leadership is best summarized by a quote from Harvey Firestone: "You get the best out of others when you give the best of yourself." As such, she is committed to serving and advocating for all students and staff in public education. Tiffanie and her partner, John live in Beatrice. Between the two of them, they have four adult children who live in Indiana, California, Oklahoma, and Nebraska and four grandchildren who live in Indiana. In their free time, they enjoy home renovation projects, spending time with family and friends, and making plans to travel "some day". Besides their shared interests, Tiffanie works to carve out time for group fitness classes, reading, and scrapbooking. #grateful #blessed
