Working...
Kathryn Katz Library Media Specialist | ![]() | |
Hello! I absolutely LOVE the library! My career in education started out substitute teaching during COVID... and being able to see them in school (and get to know their teachers and friends) since the schools were closed to outside visitors. I loved seeing my children in school, but I also realized that I loved teaching and working in education. I received my teaching credential and Master's in Teaching from Kansas State University. My intention was to be a classroom teacher, however the opportunity came to combine by previous business and communications degree with teaching. I taught for one year at Beatrice Public Schools as the K-5 Media Specialist. I loved being able to integrate literature and hands on projects as well as collaborating with classroom teachers. I'm thrilled to be joining Tri County, and I'm eager to continue to share the love of reading, creating STEM projects through literature and and collaborating with teachers. I love that this position enables me to build strong relationships with all students and staff. Tri County holds a special place in our hearts... as my husband and father in law are both Tri County grads! When I'm not at school I love spending time with my family, my husband Brent who farms, and our three children, Luke, Logan and Blakely as well as attending their many activities.
