Farm 2 Fork
A committee of Tri County supporters has made a commitment to bring healthy, nutritious, and flavorful beef and pork to the students of Tri County Public Schools. The goal of the program is: “Together, local producers and supporters will bring healthy, nutritious, and flavorful beef and pork to the students of Tri County. The program will maintain its educational components to help students understand the nutritional value of beef and pork as well as an understanding of where their food comes from and crop production practices used to raise feed for animals.”
The program will provide students with an opportunity to see firsthand the impact of the beef and pork industry and gain an understanding of how its functions. Students will learn about livestock in various classrooms from the elementary through the high school. Additionally, Farm 2 Fork directly relates to the high school agricultural classes and the Tri County FFA program.
