As with most schools around the state, the new school year brings excitement and challenges for students and teachers alike. In the Physical Education classroom, the new year always starts with Fitnessgram. Fitnessgram is the adopted physical fitness testing product for the state of Nebraska. Fitnessgram includes a multitude of tests to challenge the students and get a baseline for their physical condition. It also gives students a long term goal to continually work towards throughout the year in Physical Education. Some of the tests for Fitnessgram include: Timed Mile, Flexed Arm Hang, Curl Up (sit ups), push ups, and the Pacer Test. Students in grades 7-9 completed these fitness test in the first two weeks of school.
