While students are learning the Spanish language, they are also getting to experience the culture. After each unit, students participate in a cultural experience specific to a region or country that they just learned about. Recently, Spanish II students made a tex-mex guacamole recipe that is popular in the southern part of Texas. Many students were surprised by how much they liked the guacamole, which many had never tried before.
