All Stars

As part of their classroom counseling, 6th-grade students began All Stars in January. All Stars is a nationally recognized, research-based program that assists teens in leading healthy, positive, and full lives. Students will have the opportunity to think about what is important in their future and the steps necessary for fulfilling their dreams for the future.

The program aims to reduce risky behaviors among youth and delay the onset of risk-taking behaviors including alcohol and drug use, and enhance a belief in the future, resiliency, a sense of belonging, and a commitment to a positive lifestyle. All Stars focuses on character development and assists students in identifying positive ideal futures, building personal commitments for themselves, and strengthening the bonds between students and positive institutions likes schools.

All Stars uses highly interactive teaching methods, including games, debates, art projects, and active group discussions where students have the opportunity to express their opinions. This program helps promote communication among teens and their parents regarding important issues and aims to prevent negative behaviors that interfere with achieving their life goals, as well as promote positive characteristics we all want young people to develop.
