Tri County Fall Sports Preview: Football, Volleyball, Cross Country, and Cheer Return with Trojan Pride
As the leaves change and the air turns crisp, Tri County’s fall sports teams are hitting the ground running, bringing energy, talent, and Trojan pride to the fields, courts, and trails.
Football: Grit and Determination Define the Trojans
The Trojans football team is gearing up for another thrilling season. With a solid core of returning players complemented by eager younger athletes ready to make their mark, this squad is poised for success. After a summer dedicated to strength training in the weight room and sharpening skills on the practice field, the team is laser-focused on building upon last year’s achievements. Fueled by toughness, discipline, and an unyielding Trojan spirit, this year’s team is prepared to compete fiercely every week and make their community proud.
Volleyball: A Strong Start and a Deep Roster
Volleyball season has already kicked off with a bang, as the team celebrated two impressive victories at their first quad tournament. Returning six starters, the volleyball squad boasts both experience and depth, with a bench full of talented athletes ready to step up. Riding the momentum from last season’s successes, the team is poised to dominate the court and keep Tri County’s winning tradition alive.
Cross Country: Returning Talent and High Ambitions
The cross country team is equally excited to hit the trails this season, with 5 girls and 10 boys representing Tri County. Demonstrating dedication all summer long, these runners have logged countless miles in preparation. Notably, the boys team returns every member from last year’s state-qualifying squad that earned a 6th place finish, including a standout medalist. On the girls side, two returning medalists helped the team secure a strong 5th place overall last season. Freshmen newcomers are expected to contribute immediately, adding fresh energy to an already talented roster. With high goals set, the cross country team is ready to chase new victories and bring home more honors.
Cheer Team: Bringing Back the Spirit Since 1990
We’re also thrilled to announce the return of the Tri County cheer team, making its comeback since the last squad cheered in 1990! This spirited group of students is ready to ignite the crowd at home games and bring extra energy to support our fall teams. Their enthusiasm and Trojan pride will surely lift the stands and make game days even more exciting for fans and players alike.
Stay tuned as we follow the Trojans’ journey through what promises to be an exciting fall season! Go Trojans!
