As we kicked off the new school year, it was evident that summer was anything but quiet around our campus. Several important projects were in motion, all aimed at maintaining and improving the facilities our students and staff depend on every day.

South Parking Lot Project
Work on the South parking lot began before the final bell rang last spring. Our crews were met with a major challenge—rain. While the frequent showers were welcomed by most, they presented a constant battle for those working to pour concrete and prepare the site. Due to weather-related delays and some unforeseen setbacks, the project was not fully completed in time for the first few days of school.

Fortunately, we had a contingency plan in place. Buses were rerouted to load and unload on the west side of the school near the bus barn, allowing parents to use the circle drive safely. High school student drivers were asked to park at the Legion Ball parking lot. On the first day of school, we provided a bus to bring them to campus, and Suburbans were used the second day. Many students chose to walk instead—showing their flexibility and school spirit right from the start.

Preschool Playground Renovation
Late last spring, our Preschool playground structure was shut down due to multiple cracked or broken components. After reviewing the damage, it was decided that a full replacement of the necessary parts was in order, along with a new rubber safety surface beneath and around the structure.

This was no small task, and I (Kevin) want to extend my deepest thanks to Daryl, Roni, Christina, Rochele, Issac, and Cliff for their incredible effort and teamwork. Your dedication truly made this project a success—we couldn’t have done it without you!

High School Gym and Classroom Improvements
We also installed new conference banners in the high school gym, adding a fresh and pride-filled look to our athletic space.

In response to growing class sizes, Mr. Moeller was moved to a larger classroom this summer. His new room required quite a bit of work—including patching and painting the walls, installing new whiteboards, updating the electrical system, deep-cleaning the carpets, and giving the space a full top-to-bottom cleaning. The result is a bright, functional learning environment that’s ready for a busy school year.

A School That Shines—Literally and Figuratively
Every year, our building and grounds team works tirelessly to ensure that when teachers and students return, they are welcomed by an immaculate school. From lush, green, neatly edged lawns to spotless, waxed floors, our campus reflects the pride we all take in our school community.

It’s a team effort, and we are incredibly proud of the work done this summer to keep our facilities safe, functional, and beautiful. Thank you to everyone who played a role, and here’s to another great year at Tri County!
