This year the Tri County Carpentry class, consisting of (Sean Chase, Brenden Krumme, and Jason Wehrman) constructed a gazebo structure for Bill Walz and Legion Baseball Field. Bill approached the class about the possibility of constructing the gazebo so they will have the opportunity to host the state baseball tournament. The gazebo was a few years in the making and allowed the students to be a part of the entire project from designing it on our cad program to nailing on the final shingle on the roof. Students in the class will take the skills they learned and be able to utilize them in their future weather that is career based or purely building for their own use. It also gave the students the ability to have pride in their school through the completion of this large scale project. Overall this was a good way for students to be able to give back to the community. Every year at the beginning of the school the carpentry class constructs a small structure and would enjoy the opportunity to construct your. If you are looking for a project to be built, contact the school and the class can make your project happen.
