How did we get to this bond proposal?
This proposal reflects months of listening, learning, and refining. Teachers, staff, and community members all played a key role in shaping the updated plan through surveys, meetings, and open discussions.
To gather feedback after the May facilities proposal, a survey was mailed to patrons and shared online, remaining open for several weeks. Responses came evenly from across the district’s three counties—with 62% noting that cost was not the deciding factor—signaling opportunities to improve the plan. Using this input, the Board refined the proposal to better align with voter priorities.
Recognizing the importance of staff input, the Board also held two work sessions with all school employees to review the revised plan. Staff shared ideas, asked questions, and learned about construction timelines and classroom impacts. Their feedback helped shape a proposal that balances educational needs with construction logistics.

🇺🇸 Veterans Day Program at Tri County 🇺🇸
This morning, our school community came together to honor and celebrate our nation’s veterans. We were proud to welcome the Swanton American Legion Post for the presentation of colors, followed by a beautiful performance of the National Anthem by the Senior High Choir. Mr. Clark shared opening remarks, and Mrs. Katz presented a meaningful program about America’s White Table.
Special music was provided by the High School Choir and our 3rd-grade students, whose voices filled the gym with pride and gratitude. We were honored to welcome TC alumnus Command Sergeant Major Alan Rosenthal, who shared his story and words of inspiration.
The program concluded with a favorite tradition — the High School Band’s performance of the Armed Forces Songs, giving veterans in attendance the chance to stand and be recognized, followed by the retiring of the colors.
Thank you to all who helped make this a memorable morning of honor and reflection. 🇺🇸

Gymnasium Improvements – Proposed in the Bond
The proposed bond includes updates that support both student athletics and family time.
🔹 A new primary competition gym would be built while keeping the existing gym, adding more seating, ADA access, and improved functionality for PE classes and activities.
🔹 More space means more flexibility, allowing for concurrent after-school practices so students can finish earlier and enjoy more time with family.
This investment supports wellness, teamwork, and balance—on and off the court.
