Seas the Day… and Read! Celebrating School Library Month!

We had an o-fish-ally amazing time celebrating School Library Month all April long in our elementary library!

From our Guess the Pixelated Book Cover classroom challenge, to bookmark giveaways, to our “Book Worm” guessing contest (how many gummy worms were in the container?! ), we had 4 students tie, each just ONE guess away from the exact number!

This marked our second year of a full library transformation, and this year’s theme was “Seas the Day… Read!” Students were SO excited this past Monday morning when they walked in to see the surprise beach-themed library come to life!

It was a month full of reading, creativity, and joy, and the smiles said it all.

Congratulations to four of our girls basketball players on earning all state awards. Seniors, Brooke Morgan and Isabelle Peters, and Freshmen, Rylan Beerenstrauch and Claire Schnuelle were awarded Honorable Mention All State for the Omaha World Herald!

🏈 From 11-man to 8-man football… some things had to change, but not without honoring the past.

When our original goal posts, built by Otto Wollenburg, came down, a piece of Tri County history could have been lost. Instead, thanks to the vision of our Head of Maintenance, Kevin Weichel, that history lives on in a powerful new way.

When asked to stand in front of the sculptures for a photo, Kevin humbly said no, it was never about him. It was about Otto. A huge THANK YOU to all of our amazing Tri County bus drivers. You get our students to school and to school events and activities safely every day. You greet our students each and every morning with a smile and a hello, and we appreciate all the care and dedication you bring to every ride. We couldn’t do it without you!

Tri County students and staff are proudly wearing the TC Autism Awareness shirts to show support, acceptance, and inclusion for individuals with autism. Together, we celebrate differences and continue building a community where everyone belongs 💙

We’re excited to announce that cheerleading tryouts are coming up for the 2026-2027 cheerleading season!

Honors Convocation TONIGHT at 7:00 pm

Sunday afternoon, the Nebraska School Activities Association hosted its Believers and Achievers Banquet. This banquet honored all of the 48 finalists out of the nearly 700 students across the state who were nominated. From that list of 48 finalists, 8 individuals were announced as winners of the $1000 Believers & Achievers Scholarship.

We are proud to announce that Tri County's own Meila Gronemeyer was chosen as one of the recipients! Congratulations to Meila!

Last Thursday and Friday, Tri County took the stage at the NSAA District Music Contest in Fairbury. The High School Band earned straight 1's. The Percussion Ensemble and Ethan Rosenthal each brought home an Outstanding Performance Award. In addition to those highlights, students earned numerous Superior and Excellent ratings. We are SO proud of these musicians!
