📚✨ Celebrating Read Across America Week! ✨📚 What a fantastic week full of books, creativity, and fun! From Magical Monday, where we dressed as our favorite fairytale and fantasy characters, to Topsy Tuesday, full of wacky mismatched outfits, to Reading is a Team Sport Thursday, where we showed our TC pride in our school gear, to Cozy Friday, where we snuggled up with a good book—we celebrated in style! We also had some incredible special programming, including listening to Jeff Kinney through BookBreak (and even drawing alongside him! ) and diving into the research process with narrative nonfiction with author Steve Sheinkin. Plus, we put our creativity and writing skills to the test by creating our own comic strips! A big congratulations to our Bookmark Design Contest winners! 🏆🎉 🖍 P/K Winner: Rhetlee Shufeldt 🖍 1st/2nd Grade Winner: Jace Simpson 🖍 3rd/4th Grade Winner: Lane Roberts 🖍 5th/6th Grade Winner: Paisley Siebrandt A huge thank you to our 7th-12th grade art students for voting and making this contest extra special. This week was all about celebrating the joy of reading, creativity, teamwork, and storytelling—we loved every moment of it! 📖❤️

Our junior class had an exciting day exploring the University of Nebraska-Lincoln! They started with a tour of City Campus, getting a glimpse of student life and academic opportunities. After enjoying lunch in a campus dining hall, they headed to East Campus for another great tour. The day wrapped up with a visit at the UNL Dairy Store!

Just a reminder that this Saturday, Student Council is hosting the Daddy-Daughter Dance. We are so excited to see you all there! Some questions that we have received: 1. Payment is due at the door (no pre-sale) 2. We will have snacks and drinks, but we recommend you eat a good dinner before coming to get that energy to dance the night away! 3. Klasek Photography will be taking a portrait of each couple the after they pay to ensure everyone gets their picture taken. These pictures will then be made into an album on her site. If you have any other questions please feel free to reach out to Hannah Gay- hannah.gay@tricountyschools.org
