Fiction or Nonfiction? Our 3rd graders are pizza pros!
Mrs. Katz served up a tasty library lesson with Pizza! A Slice of History (nonfiction) and Pizza and Taco (fiction). Students played a “Fact or Fiction” game and then celebrated the only way you should after reading about pizza… by eating it!
MANY THANKS to Farmers Cooperative for donating the slices that made our lesson extra delicious!

Everyday Essentials finished up our cooking unit this week with a Food Truck Face Off activity. The class was split into four groups that had to develop and design a food truck menu and business plan. They then had to cook one dish from their menu that was judged by a panel of judges.

Lost without a phone? Not these 7th graders! Thanks to Mr. Simpson’s fun and engaging history lesson, our students took a trip back in time—before GPS and smartphones! Using real maps of Nebraska, they explored unfamiliar towns, calculated distances, and uncovered hidden landmarks.
